QuizStock, the SEQC Festival of Quizzing, returns in January 2014!
In January this year, we held the first edition of QuizStock, to a reasonable response. The second time around, it's a little bigger, with five quizzes spread across the weekend of the 11th and 12th of January, conducted by different QMs. The festival will be held in association with the International Centre Goa (ICG), which will serve as the venue.
All the quizzes are open for all, and entry is free. A few of them will be in a non-competitive format, with teams being made up from all those who attend. For the competitive quizzes, teams will consist of two or three persons (see individual quiz listings below). Teams can be registered in advance by e-mailing seqcgoa@gmail.com, or made up on the spot. We are rounding up prizes, so there should be some for the competitive quizzes.

Saturday January 11
3pm-4.30pm: Miles To Go
A written travel and tourism quiz, for teams of two. QM: Rajiv D'Silva
5pm-8.30pm: Goa Open
SEQC's biggest annual open quiz. For teams of two. Should hopefully have some decent prize money! QM: Aniruddha Sen Gupta
Sunday January 12
10am-1pm: On Words and Upwards
A quiz on literature, language, comics, poetry, perhaps even some theatre, music and movies. Non-competitive. QM: Aniruddha Sen Gupta
2.30pm-4.30pm: The BEST Quiz
Not exclusively about Bombay city transport, but an eclectic mix of subjects – Business, Entertainment, Sports and Technology. For teams of three (outstation teams are encouraged to tie up with local talent for this one). QM: Nitish Wagle
5pm-8pm: The Year That Was
A 2013 round-up. Non-comp. QM: Rajiv D'Silva
