SEQC Half-Open – Episode 2 results and content

More excitement on Day 2 of the ongoing quiz series, the SEQC Half-Open, with the top two placings being switched on the last question (the winner effectively nosing ahead because of their 6 pre-registration points). Six of the eight teams from Episode 1 were represented, albeit three of them by a single person each, and two others by two of the original members. Apart from that, there were three new teams. Unlike the first Epsiode, though, this time the score distribution was much more scattered. Here are the results of Episode 2.

1st: Ameya's Harem (Ameya Mardolkar, Gouthami, Madhura Chakraborty) – 145 points / 10 stars
2nd: The Vandals (Anjali Sen Gupta, Delson Roche, Rajiv D'Silva) – 141.5 / 9*
3rd: Terribly Juvenile Adults (Adish Talwadker, Julian D'Costa, Tarun Mascarenhas) – 128 / 8*
4th: Hey Prabhu Srividya (Srijit Kumar, Sanjiv Prabhudessai) – 113 / 7*
5th: Wagle ki Duniya (Nitish Wagle) – 74 / 6*
6th:
PV^2 (Viola Rodrigues) – 63 / 5*
7th: Mad Men (Aditya Mallya, Sanket Nayak) – 52 / 4*
8th: NIT-Pickers (Dharma Rane, Sahil Ramchandani, Tejan Karmali) – 51 / 3*
9th: Awesome (Anant Sridhar Prabhu, Lynn Barreto Miranda, Ira Almeida) – 36 / 2*

SEQC Half-Open continues

The second Episode of SEQC's ongoing quiz series, the SEQC Half-Open, will be held at the Urban Health Centre in Margao on Sunday April 17, starting 5pm. The quiz is for teams of 3 (or in specific cases, 4), and more information about it can be gleaned from these prior posts:
The current standings in the series are as listed here:
Teams that have participated in Episode 1 will need to appear with the same members. No substitutions are permitted, so if any member(s) is / are unable to attend, the remaining will represent the team, even if that involves a single-member team.

New participants are welcome to join in. New teams can pre-register by sending a mail to seqcgoa@gmail.com listing the team name and the names of all team members. New teams that pre-register will get a 2-point pre-registration bonus in the Round 1 Eliminator.

As you can see from the points system, a team that misses a single Episode will still have a decent chance of qualifying for the Finals if it does well in the other two Episodes, so I would strongly urge those who couldn't participate in Episode 1 to form teams and make it to Margao.
