A year ago, a small band of intrepid SEQC explorers undertook a memorable journey to Uzbekistan. In commemoration of that trip, the Silk Roots quiz game will traverse the historic route from Guangzhou to Byzantium this Sunday, September 29. Come be a part of the expedition!

Format: The top 16 teams in the prelims held on 20th September, 8 each from North & South Goa, will participate in 2 Semi-Finals of 8 teams each, on 27th September. The top 4 from each Semi-Final will meet in the Final, to be held on the same day.

Announcing the Movie Quiz 2019

The Sunday Evening Quiz Club (SEQC), in association with the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), will be hosting 'Lights, Camera, Question', a quiz on the magic of movies, on Sunday September 15 at Maquinez Palace, Panjim.

The quiz will be replete with visual, audio and video content, and will cover all aspects of cinema, Indian and international. It will be conducted by Aniruddha Sen Gupta.

The quiz will commence with a written preliminary round at 3pm, followed by onstage finals. The Prelims will be taken individually, and the top 18 put together in teams of 3. The quiz is open to all, and entry is free.

To pre-register, e-mail seqcgoa@gmail.com, with 'Movie Quiz 2019 registration' in the subject line, and your name and contact number or e-mail ID, in the body of the mail. Mails for pre-registration must be received by midnight on Friday September 13. Individuals who show up at the venue without pre-registering will be accommodated subject to availability of seating and answer sheets.
