Deutschland, Deutschland is uber-alling its way into the quiz arena, with the first German Open being held this year, organised by the German Quizzing Association (DQV). Structured along the lines of the World Quizzing Championship, the German Open will be a solo written quiz (so if you're coming for it, make sure you bring your own pen and backing board). The quiz consists of 240 questions in six categories (Art and Culture; Civilisation; Entertainment; Lifestyle; Physical World; Sport and Leisure). Panjim is one of the host cities for the quiz – the competition is going to be held in a number of cities in more than 20 countries. We will hold the quiz here immediately prior to the Panjim October monthly on Sunday October 6. All interested in participating, please register for the quiz by emailing seqcgoa@gmail.com by midnight on Friday the 4th.
UPDATE: Participants, please report by 2pm. We will begin briefing at 2.10 and the quiz will start precisely at 2.30pm.
