The BiG Q 2016 – the eighth in the annual series – will be held on Sunday September 25, starting 5pm. There are two venues – for people in North Goa, the nearest centre will be the International Centre Goa (ICG) in Dona Paula; for those in the south, the Urban Health Centre opposite Hospicio Hospital in Margao.
The quiz, which is open to all and has no entry fee, will be set by Aniruddha Sen Gupta and conducted by the Sunday Evening Quiz Club (SEQC). It's a solo written quiz, with 150 questions covering all subjects, to be answered in 90 minutes. The changes in format set in place with the previous year's edition will be enhanced, aimed at making the quiz more entertaining and give it less of an 'exam paper' feel.
There are prizes for the Best Open Quizzer and the Best School Quizzer at each of the two venues, besides the overall BiG Q crown for the 'Best-in-Goa Quizzer'.
Pre-registration is now open. You can pre-register by sending a mail to seqcgoa@gmail.com by 6pm on Friday September 23, mentioning your name and the venue you would like to answer the quiz at.
